Recently, I got into a conversation with an aged cab driver of my office. The conversation motored along (as did the cab) usual lines of where do you stay, what hours etc... Then I asked him what his children did ..

His voice swelled with a pride that was magnificient to listen. Of his two sons, one was an engineer abroad; and another was planning to do a post-graduation having refused an offer from our company itself...

It was really heart-warming to hear him describe their jobs, decisions etc.. with enormous pride in his voice..

  1. I still remember the tears in my father's eyes when he heard the news of my GATE rank.. We owe a lot for the love of our parents, something we cannot afford to repay
